Fall salmon on the St. Mary's river offers this experience almost daily. Not only will you experience the fishing, but the thrill of doing it next to a 1000 foot Great Lakes freighter is an experience that cannot be matched. The Pink and King salmon begin to run in the Detour/Drummond Island area in July, and work their way up the river to Sault Ste. Marie through late September. If-N-When is usually parked in the Soo for 2 weeks during mid September, and can be scheduled on other dates when available. As of April 1st, the 2008 salmon season is 1/2 booked already!!  Don't wait to long, as the rest will go fast come summer. Salmon trips in the Soo are available in the morning and afternoon, and midnight trips can also be scheduled, some of which produce the most fish! Campground and hotel information is available for the Sault Ste. Marie area upon request. Prices Walleye and Perch: $250.00 for the first 3 people, and $50.00 for the 4th person. 1/2 day trips average 6 hours, dock to dock. A $100.00 deposit is required. The Captain makes the final decision on weather for the day of the trip.
